In our ongoing efforts to streamline searching in our title plants, we are pleased to announce an upcoming change for several counties in Southern California.
Since the late 1990’s, DataTrace has maintained a dual index for arbed properties, the standard ‘A’ prefix arb and a secondary ‘G’ prefix arb. We have started a clean-up effort that will allow us to completely remove the entire ‘G’ arb index - all go-forward searching can be done with just the ‘A’ arb. This change will be done for the chain records, as well as for any open order activity, creating a seamless user experience.
The dates for the effective update are as follows:
Riverside and San Bernardino, CA:
- Feb 27, 2020 - security change to default the ‘A’ arb on the arb input screen
- March 9, 2020 - data will be converted from ‘G’ to ‘A’ arb
- March 13, 2020 - security change to default to ‘A’ arb on the arb input screen
- March 16, 2020 - data will converted from ‘G’ to ‘A’ arb
