DataTrace is expanding its Request Field Information Service (Feet on the Street) for order searches to New Jersey counties in the DataTrace System (DTS) application. The Request Field Information Service fulfills the need for specific title examination record types only available from the local government agency office.
The Request Field Information Service will be available from within DTS for New Jersey counties. In addition, the Request Field Information Service will be limited to Order searches (No Investigative Orders).
Why This Is Important
By integrating DTS to the Charles Jones system for order processing, we are eliminating the need for a Title Examiner to visit a government office to manually retrieve the documents that they require, or from having to engage Field Researcher services directly in select counties.
Solution Overview
Order Types
The Request Field Information Service is available in the Title Services menu NJ counties.
The Request Field Information Service supports the following order types:
Probate- Order Input required fields: Order, Name (Last, First), Street Address, Municipality, and Email address for notifications on completed orders
- Use Abstractor Notes to provide additional information that the Field Researcher may need
Land Record – Document Copy
- Required Order Input fields: Street Address, Municipality, Document # / Document Type, and Email for notifications on completed orders
- Use Abstractor Notes to provide additional information that the Field Researcher may need
Land Record – Back Search; Search Back to Full Consideration Deed
- Required Order Input fields: Street Address, Municipality, Search Back From Date or Search Back from Document # and Recording Date, and Email for notifications on completed orders
- Use Abstractor Notes to provide additional information that the Field Researcher may need
Land Record – Back Search; Search Back to See Abstractors Notes
- Required Order Input fields: Street Address, Municipality, Email for notifications on completed orders, and Abstractors Notes
- Use Abstractor Notes to provide Back Search guidelines
Land Record – Back Search; Search Back to Number of Years
- Required Order Input fields: Street Address, Municipality, Search Back to # Years, Search Back From Date, and Email for notifications on completed orders
- Use Abstractor Notes to provide additional information that the Field Researcher may need
Land Record – Gap Search
- Required Order Input fields: Street Address, Municipality, Search From data, Search Thru date, and Email for notifications on completed orders
- Use Abstractor Notes to provide additional information that the Field Researcher may need
Order Retrieval
- Request for Information orders will be returned in the Title Order History section
- Separate section for Field Information
- Individual PDF’s for each data type requested (Surrogate and Land Records)
- Status shows pending until data available
- Notification email to customer when data is added to Order History
- Available for download to History Panel
- User can select to view or export order details from the History Panel
The fees, if applicable, for the Request Field Information request will appear on the Charles Jones invoice with the order number and search type.
